Dining out in London

It pays to be 'in the know' when eating out in London.  This city has the best chefs, there's sometimes too much choice!

However, nothing is worse than wondering the streets hoping to stumble upon a good restaurants.  Our suggestions are by no means exhaustive, we've listed some popular bistros and will be adding to weekly.  London is very much a work-in-progress.  However, don't miss a good meal in Chinatown and a great 'British meal' and of course 'fish and chips'.

Geales - an upmarket 'fish and chippy' restaurant — Why go? You just don't feel like eating fish and chips out of newspaper. You want an excellent tartare sauce perhaps some mushy peas and some quality crispy batter fish. And if you don't feel like anything deep fried, there's a choice of seafood soups or just some fresh prawn and mayonnaise. Allow around 50 pounds for two.
What's not good? Portions are a little small.
Open: Monday to Friday for lunch till 3pm then dinner till 10pm Sunday only 6pm till 10pm.

Wild Honey — This is lovely restaurant, full of wood-paneled walls, comfortable seating and professional staff. Meals beautifully presented; mainly a european influence with English produce, English snails, buttery Scottish Buccleuch beef and of course desserts with lots of 'honey' flavours.
